Wish Upon a Wedding

Wish Upon a Wedding is a remarkable nonprofit organization that grants Wedding and Vow Renewal Wishes for couples where one or both partners are terminally ill or facing a life-altering diagnosis.

I first discovered the foundation on Facebook in 2023 and responded to a post seeking volunteer planners. Shortly after, their Wish Coordinator reached out about a couple in the Houston area in need of support. After hearing their story, I knew I couldn’t say no.

Since then, I’ve had the incredible privilege of granting three Wish Weddings for some truly deserving couples—with another one currently in the works. Being able to use my skills as a planner to bless these couples with a Wish Day is one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my career.

Yolanda and Max

I had the honor of meeting Yolanda and Max in 2023 and began planning their Wish Wedding. Yolanda was courageously battling stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to her bones, and together, she and Max were preparing to renew their vows after more than 20 years of love and commitment.

It was truly a blessing to get to know them and their family, and to bring their special day to life. With the help of an incredible vendor team who donated their time and talents, we were able to grant this beautiful Wish Day—a celebration filled with love, resilience, and joy.

Kate and Will

I met Kate and Will right before the summer of 2024. Kate is living with ALS, a devastating disease that slowly takes away the body’s ability to function. Despite this life-altering diagnosis, Kate and Will are so full of life—and their love for one another shines through every moment they share.

It was an honor to walk alongside them and help bring their Wish Wedding Day to life. This beautiful celebration was made possible thanks to the generosity and talent of an incredible team of vendors who gave their time and services to make Kate and Will’s dream a reality. I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them for helping create such a meaningful day.

Alyssa and Audrick

I had the honor of meeting Alyssa and Audrick in the spring of 2025. Alyssa is bravely battling Stage 4 stomach cancer, and to say I am in awe of her would be an understatement. Because of her cancer, Alyssa had to have her stomach removed—yet despite all the challenges, treatments, and complications, she continues to be an incredible mother and still finds joy in the kitchen cooking, something she has always loved. She is truly inspiring.

When Alyssa and Audrick shared their vision for a western-gothic theme with fun touches of cow print, I was immediately here for it! Bringing that unique vision to life was such a joy, and I’m so grateful they trusted me to fill their day with love, surprises, and celebration.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without one amazing Wish Granting team of vendors who gave their time and talent to make this day unforgettable. I am so thankful for each of them for helping create such a special day for Alyssa and Audrick.
